Objectives
The CPF Communicators’ Network ensures effective coordination among CPF members and provides strategic advice to the CPF on communication and outreach, including participation in global events.
The network also supports the development of related initiatives and products, such as the International Day of Forests, the Wangari Maathai Forest Champions Award, and Grow the Solution, implemented in partnership with the Sustainable Wood for a Sustainable World Joint Initiative. FAO’s Regional Forest Communicators Networks provide additional support to ensure that communication and outreach reaches regional and national audiences.

By working toward its objectives, this Joint Initiative supports all CPF core functions and aligns with the Global Forest Goals, forest-related Sustainable Development Goals and the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021–2030.
